OSXnews is a small fast open source Usenet news reader for Mac OSX written entirely from scratch in Objective C and Cocoa. It has adopted the look and feel of mail.app and tries to integrate with it for email support.It uses the new Webcore KHTML rendering engine to display messages, performs searches in Google Groups.What's new in this version:This is a major update following a partial rewrite of the code. It now requires a minimum of OSX 10.3 and has been tested for about 2 months by a community of users. This version includes tons of new features, is faster and has usability improvements. Among the improvements the prominent ones are:- new cleaner icons- multiple server support- support for iso2022-jp and latin1 display- added sent, draft and out boxes- much more responsive UI- detects but does not yet decode Yenc- offline mode added- caches message bodies for faster display.
